PHAROELIDAE

elphinstone

Pharoelidae is a joint project of electronic producer, DJ, and sound scientist Eduardo Akhentek (www.akhentek.com) with flute player and all around musician Margot (www.margonaut.com) Collins.

Akhentek’s precision engineering skills and analytical ear combined with Margot’s classical training and an intuitive connection with the aural create a unique sound synergy neither could duplicate on their own.

The duo have produced tracks for each of the first three Entheos soundtracks and their appearance at the 2009 Entheos Conference and Festival marks their live performance debut.

The name Pharoelidae was created by combining the word “Pharaoh” (an Egyptian king) with the Latin word “Parulidae” (a family of songbirds also known as the wood warblers.)
